Mini Amp Gizmo & Line 6 X3 Live & Peavy 6505+

Hi,

I just previously bought a Mini Amp Gizmo. After unwrapping it I powered it up whiel holding Switch 8 then I pressed Switch 3 to set it up. All that went fine but when I connected it to the Line 6 POD X3 Live it didn't flash when I held down the WRITE switch.
Why is this happening?
I followed everything on the video that you guys have up (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-Oj7u0FSrk) but it's not allowing me to use the WRITE function. When I manually change the switches on the Mini Amp Gizmo it changes the channels on the amp fine but the Line 6 X3 live isnt changing the amp gizmo.

What could be the problem? Do I need to buy a higher quality midi cable? If so what brand should I go for?
Do I need to enable the midi on the Line 6 X3 Live or do I need to set the midi channel to OMNI or something like that?

SOLVED!

for anyone else having this problem get a decent midi cable and make sure the channel selector on your amp is pressed in or out(varies on different amps i think)
