Mini Amp Gizmo w/ Axe Fx to create Momentary?

I am using the Fractal Axe Fx Ultra and their footcontroller the MFC101

I wish to use a PCM-41 in the effects loop of the Ultra.

The PCM-41 has a repeat function that can be turned ON/OFF via a momentary on/off switch.

If I ran a wire from Midi Out of the Ultra to the Mini Amp Gizmo, could it send the momentary signal to the repeat function of the PCM-41? How would I program it?

Since I only require a single use, is there a simpler (read: cheaper) alternative to solve the same issue?

Thanks in advance.

You can program the Mini Amp Gizmo to send a momentary pulse to the PCM. It could be activated by program changes on the Axe, and if you can assign the buttons on the MFC to arbitrary Continuous Controller messages, then you can assign a button on the controller to control the Mini Amp Gizmo (and the connected PCM41).

The Mini Amp Gizmo is the smallest switcher we have. The only other option I know will work is the MAC-2, which we designed for Diamond Amps. It's a stripped down Amp Gizmo with five switches, all routed to 1/4" jacks. It's a little less expensive than the Mini Amp Gizmo.
