MMGT / MEGX preset Whac

I've created presets in MEGX where I've selected the various loops for each preset but MMGT is overriding the MEGX presets. I hit my SOLO preset on my MMGT which contains LOOPS 1,2&5 w/in the MEGX, however when I hit the SOLO button only loop 5 turns on (which is set to be locked for all presets), I select LOOPS 1&2 on the MEGX and save it via holding the buffer button; SOLO is now correctly saved however the presets next it called VERSE & DIRT mirror the SOLO loop selections.

I then correctly save the VERSE loops (LOOPS 2&5) on the front of the MEGX and now the DIRT & SOLO loops don't have LOOP 2. Every time I correct one of the presets, it messes up other presets. Back and forth

Are there any videos that address this?

I would love some clarity on when to use the Send On Preset Change / Update on Preset Change buttons. All of them are off in my set up. I think this is related to my issue w/ my MEGX presets not pulling up properly when I hit the corresponding button the MMGT.

Dumb question, Should the MMGT be listed as a device w/in the Editor? I watched your video and it's not listed

Also, why does my H9 Loop 5 look different on the DIRT preset / SOLO preset. Again, I have it locked in the MEGX, should all of the presets look the same for that Loop?

The Clean, Verse, Dirt, Solo, etc. presets aren't set up to send any MIDI messages to the MEGX, that's why it's not responding.

There are two ways you can set it up:

1). You can continue to set up presets on the MEGX, then you need to program the GT to send the appropriate program change for each preset. For example, in the Presets tab, your Solo preset should have a number in the MEGX box, and it should be the number of the preset you want to call up on the MEGX.

or

2). Set up buttons on the Mastermind GT to control each loop on the MEGX. Then, turn on Send on Preset Change and Update on Preset Change for all of those buttons. With this setup, you can do most of your programming on the GT instead of in the MEGX editor. You can program which of those buttons turn on for every preset, and the buttons will, in turn, send MIDI messages to the MEGX to turn loops on and off.

Here are a couple of videos that are relevant:

For method 1: Basic Preset Editing

For method 2: IA Button Options

Thank you so much, that's a Game Changer!

The second route is much easier for my set up and makes a lot more sense compared to using the front of the MEGX

I agree, I almost always prefer the second approach, especially on a controller that has a lot of buttons to spare. Doing it this way gives you more flexibility and does a better job of keeping the GT buttons in sync with the actual state of the loops.
