Two Modes for one Button

I've seen a custom made Midi Pedal with a "Mode" Button that switches the other Buttons so that they send different Midi commands. Example:
Mode A:
Buttons 1-3: Looper Play/Stop
Mode B:
Buttons 1-3 - Looper Rec/Overdub
So my question is:
What's the best way to make my Mastermind GT do that?

That sounds like a job for button pages. Set up two button pages, each with the desired button functions, then set one of the buttons as follows:

Type: IA
Send on Preset Change off
Update on Preset Change off
Momentary on
IA Actions:
System / Page 2

And on the second page, create a similar button in the same location except that it's action is "System / Page 1". When you press the button, it will switch from one page to the other, changing the functions of all the buttons.
