Apologies if I'm missing something and you can already do this.
It would be incredibly useful for the editor to have an 'active' mode that mimics the physical layout, where you can click a pedal on screen and it runs it on the physical board, or alternately a way of clicking on a preset / song in the editor and the board acting as if the preset or song had been called up using the board.
I do a lot of editing using the PC Editor - in conjunction with the HX Stomp PC editor that I also use - whilst sitting with a guitar on my lap and it all plugged in, whilst my (too) large board is over in the corner of the room.
At the moment whilst I can fiddle with an HX Stomp patch and get that to change as I edit, the only way I seem to be able to trial my overall presets with the PBC and pedals in the loops is transfer the changes and then walk over to the board to do some pedal dancing.
