Axe fx not sending tempo and tuner to mmgt

Sorry for the newbie question but I have had my MmGT for a couple of years and now the axe fx will not display the tempo or the tuner. When I click tuner I get a “?” And I can see the tuner is showing on the axe fx screen but there is a disconnect in the communication. Thanks for the help.
 
How are the two wired together? Make sure that it's a "5-pin active" MIDI cable - many MIDI cables have 5 pins but only 3 pins are wired. Standard MIDI only needs 3 pins, but the bidirectional communication between GT and Axe-Fx needs all 5. Also make sure there are no devices in between GT and Axe-Fx.
 
I am using 7 pin cable into rjm power box. I have not changed anything in my setup. Didn't know if there was a trick to fixing this.
 
If nothing has changed, then you'll have to do some testing to see what's failed. The first thing I recommend trying is to connect an additional MIDI cable from the GT's Remote In to the Axe-Fx's MIDI output - see if it starts working when you do that.
