Cable cut short?

How bad i if I cut short the amp gizmo cable=?
I actually want the gizmo in my pedalboard but obviously have no use of such long cable....
I can change the 7 pin mesa side for a femal opne and use the Mesa boogie switch pedal cable...
Is that too daring?

I managed to cut my cables short without any major drama, just a case of ensuring the correct wires are on the correct pins. Soldering multi-pin DIN connectors is VERY FIDDLY though, be warned! You need a steady hand and a fine-tipped soldering iron. Good luck!
