Chorus & Delay - no loop in amp

I'd really like to buy a Marshall 1959HW but im pretty set on having my delay in the loop over the last 25 years of playing. Whats the most effective way of using a mod & delay with this kind of amp? really simple question i know, but every time i have tried in the past i hated the results of delay in the front end and im looking for a high quality solution.

The best way to do this IMO is to run a line out (Suhr ISO Line Out box from the speaker feed) into the delay and chorus, then out to a second amp. It could be anything - a clean solid state amp would work fine for this. Keeps things distinct and gives you more control. Not the most portable solution though!
