Computer Crash - write settings from PBC to Editor

This has likely been covered but cannot find the answer to my specific question.

Over the weekend I had an unfortunate computer crash that wiped my Mac clean. I get the Mac back tomorrow and will install the editor. I have copied the settings from the PBC to the Editor before, so know issues with the "how."

My question is do I need to do anything prior to executing this command after I download the editor? I'd hate to lose 100+ songs/setlists/etc. stored neatly on the PBC just because I accidentally skipped a step!

Just make sure you select Read Settings from Device first, then save those settings to a file on your computer. It wouldn't hurt to scan through the settings in the editor and make sure they look ok. Then, you can start editing.
