Effect Gizmo not responding to CC messages

Hi.

My Effect Gizmo is not responding to CC messages sent from a SoftStep.

I have never tried CC messages before and have run program changes from a Rockton All Access.
Just received the SoftStep and thought that that was the unit at fault, until I tried it on other effects in the rack, and they work fine.

A loop on the Gizmo will activate after 11 taps on the pedal. It will also turn off after 11 taps on the pedal.

I tried using the loop 11 CC messages off to maybe reboot the Gizmo but it actually did nothing. ie when I put it in midi program mode a 2nd time, loop 11 is not lit, so it has ignored the command.

Any help would be very much appreciated. After about 5 hours of hating the soft step, I realize it is not at fault.

Odd.

Problem solved by pure chance.
I wanted to see if I could send messages to a Voodoo labs pedal switcher, so accidentally sent CC messages on both channels 1 and 16.

Problem solved. Don't know why, and after about 8 hours of trying, don't really care.
