Exp Ped as Function switch?

I was wondering about whether it was possible to have a second function switch on the 6x somehow (in the editor there are two listed under the general pane). Can I convert the exp pedal to a function switch somehow? Or is there another way to do it that I'm missing?

Sorry, the expression pedal jack can only be used as an expression pedal input.

The second switch is the ring conductor on the Function Switch jack.

I came across this in the manual (p 32):

Each expression pedal can be set to turn a parameter on and off based on the position of the pedal. This is especially useful for turning an effect off when the pedal is raised all the way.

It's not something that I've tried, but it may do what you want.

That works, but only if what you're trying to control has MIDI capability.
