GT-22 whiped - back to factory settings

Could this be a problem with a battery?
This happened twice.
The first time even when connected.

I've never seen that happen... Do you actually see the "Factory reset" screen when this happens?

There is no battery in a GT, that can't be the problem.

No I don't.
I just notice than all of a sudden it's back on the factory settings and all my presets are gone

I can't imagine how that's possible... It takes a minute or two to wipe settings, so it would be pretty noticeable. If it happens again, please save the settings from the controller and send them to me so I can see if there's anything unusual going on.

Are you saying that this happened without the editor connected? Sending the wrong settings from the editor would definitely cause the problem, it's harder to see how it would happen without the editor (or flash drive) involved.

There's definitely something wrong with my unit.
Now all of a sudden some buttons don't do what's programmed anymore.
I have a button "LEAD" that does the following:
- turn on/off DRIVE 1
- turn on/off DELAY1
- turn off/on DELAY4 (which I use for a doubler)
- turn off/on PITCH1

now the DELAY1 won't turn on and the DELAY4 won't turn off
I'm using the System / Set IA command.
Delay 1 has #8
When changing to #9 - CHORUS - it works fine.

Is Axe-Edit running? In the past, there have been problems where Axe-Edit would interfere with the GT. It was fixed by Fractal, but maybe it's come back.

Most of the time I've got it running
I've noticed this as well.
Remember the problem I had with one pedal with CC#13 engaging another with cc#14.
Every time I had Axe Edit running.
I checked with Midi-ox and the correct cc's were sent but nevertheless it switched on the wrong block.
But yesterday AE wasn't running when I pulled the USB cable.
So that's weird.
I was just checking all cables, also transformers so that they weren't in the vicinity of MIDI-cables.
That didn't change a thing until I pulled the USB cable out.
Then all of a sudden it all worked again.

Plugged it in and after a while it happened again.
I had to unplug it and power cycle the GT-22 to get it working again

Do you have a MIDI interface on your computer? Connecting it to the MIDI Thru on the Axe-Fx and using MIDI monitor software would allow us to see what's going on, at least to some extent.

I'll give that a try.
But with the problem I had with one pedal with CC#13 engaging another with cc#14, I didn't notice anything with Midi-ox as well.

If the GT was sending the correct CC number the previous case, then that problem has to be external to the GT. I'm also trying to figure out if this other problem is internal to the GT or not. Because a reboot fixes it, it's likely to be a GT problem, but seeing the actual output would be very helpful in understanding the problem.

I'm trying to figure out how to configure MidiOx again.
I have a Focusrite and have connected the AxeFx THRU to the Focusrite IN
All I get is an endless stream:
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0D 7F 7F 18 F7
000424C7 3 -- F0 Buffer: 9 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0C 7F 66 F7
000424D1 3 -- F0 Buffer: 8 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 13 06 F7
00042518 3 -- F0 Buffer: 9 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0F 7F 65 F7
00042699 3 -- F0 Buffer: 10 Bytes System Exclusive

It only shows CC's from the pedal, not when I'm turning On/off IA's.
I do get extra sysex when pushing the button LEAD as described above:
00096D6F 3 -- B0 0B 7F 1 --- CC: Expression
00096D72 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 46 00 00 59 F7
00096D76 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 49 00 01 57 F7
00096D79 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 6F 00 01 71 F7
00096D7D 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 76 00 00 69 F7
00096E1C 3 -- F0 Buffer: 10 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0D 7F 7F 18 F7
00096E3F 3 -- F0 Buffer: 9 Bytes System Exclusive

46 = #cc070 Delay1
49 = #cc073 Delay4
6F = cc#111 Pitch2
76 = cc#118 Drive1

So that's all good.
I guess I'll have to wait until it stops working again and see if the same messages are transmitted

It just happened again and this time, there's a difference:
000015B8 3 -- B0 0B 7F 1 --- CC: Expression
000015BC 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 49 00 01 57 F7
000015BF 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 49 00 01 57 F7
000015C3 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 6F 00 01 71 F7
000015C6 3 -- F0 Buffer: 11 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0A 76 00 00 69 F7
00001615 3 -- F0 Buffer: 10 Bytes System Exclusive
SYSX: F0 00 01 74 10 0D 7F 7F 18 F7
00001638 3 -- F0 Buffer: 9 Bytes System Exclusive

It sends twice a CC on 49 instead of once on 46 and once on 49.
So it's definitely coming from the pedal.

Removing the USB-cable didn't fix it this time.
I had to power it off and on again.
Then it worked as programmed again.
