I'm using the PBC to control on/off effects in Mainstage.
I also use a loop on the PBC, to either route the guitar through the audio-interface to Mac/Mainstage, or to bypass that loop and go straight to the amp (in case the computer crashes during a gig).
So, I have setup the PBC:
1 button controls loop6 (on/off). This is my loop through the computer.
2 buttoms setup as "Preset +/-" to select the various patches/songs in mainstage.
Problem is, every time i press the Preset +/- buttom, it functionally disconnects the Loop 6.
I need loop 6 to stay in whatever state I set it (manually) regardless of whether i press the preset +/-.
I set the loop button to:
Normal Button
IA button type
Send on Preset change - checked.
Update State on preset change - checked
I have experimented with various selections here, but cannot get it to work.
Also, I have a basic question on patch changes in Mainstage... Should I define the PBC button type as a "preset +/-" button, or a "preset device +/-" button? Wondering whether this has something to do with setup.
