How Turn IA Cycle Buttons to Off Color When Other Button Selected

I have a custom button page used for accessing different sounds via PC number from just one synth pedal (Source Audio C4).

So with the IA cycle feature, each of the six buttons on the bottom step through four different PC number sounds. So I have access to 24 sounds from one pedal from one page.

It functions correctly but would prefer the other button colors go to off state when selecting different button.

Question on Button Colors - how do I get the five buttons to go to their off color when I select another button. Tried placing them in one group but didn't help.

Here is custom button page and one of the buttons edit page showing the four steps and action steps.

Placing them in a group should do the trick. Are you running old firmware, by any chance?

Another thing to consider - cycle buttons don't have an "off" state, they have 4 steps. When the button is grouped, it will return to step 1 when another button in the group is pressed. The "off" color is step 1's color.

Ahh I see I did notice the other buttons switching colors when I grouped them but didn’t recognize the logic that they are switching to the first step color.

With that in mind - additional question - I have two additional buttons on a different custom button page that also step through pc sounds from the same pedal. But these two buttons have one of the four steps has an off-state, turning the pedal and it’s audio loop off. Is that going to cause issues if I group them with the six buttons on separate page with four steps and no off states?

I am on current firmware.

I did add the six buttons to one group and the other buttons went to Step 1 color as you explained.

But all of them only step through three steps instead of four - not the first step which has PC numbered sound in the action.

So back to non grouping them and allowing the other buttons not to reflect the status of another pressed button.

Any other suggestions?

Are you sure about that? Remember that buttons start on step 1. If you press one button, it results in the others resetting to step 1. Then, the first press on any of those buttons will switch it to step 2. This is why an off step is helpful, so that the first press performs the first "on" action.

So you are saying this is not expected behavior. When I group the 6 IA four step cycle buttons with no off I lose one of the steps. When I change them to Groups "none" then all four steps are available.

I wonder if the fact that I have two additional IA cycle buttons on a separate Button page stepping through PC's sounds from the same pedal BUT with an off step (so only three sounds and an off) if that has any impact? I did not group those two.

And now I just tested those two in question and when I group the two of them to their own different group number I lose the Off step.

There is something in the Group function with IA cycle buttons that has impact on removing steps.

The grouping does effectively product the off step/color in other buttons but it also removes the off step.

The grouping as you know on standard preset buttons and non IA cycle buttons work as intended.

Make sure that Allow All Buttons Off is turned on for the group. Otherwise, it'll prevent your entire group from being on step 1.
