Loop 1 not turning off in Loops mode

i am new to the Mastermind PBC. I have noticed that when I am in the "Loop" function that my Loop 1 device does not turn off but stays on all the time. Should it be able to be toggled like the other 9 loops for auditioning purposes?
 
Yes, it should be able to be switched. The loop is probably locked on. In the PBC settings, go to Audio Settings / Loop 1 Settings, then see if Lock State is turned. It probably is - set it to off to allow the loop to be turned on and off.

Or, in the editor, go to the Audio tab, find the Loop 1 section and click the lock icon in that section to turn it off.
