I want to use my Line 6 pod hd pro for effects with the Mesa. Can I do this using the Line 6 mk II short board into the pod hd pro with the mini amp gizmo?
 
Does the Pod give out MIDI program change messages when you change patches using the shortboard? If it does, then yes, the mini amp gizmo will work fine in this scenario.
 
I have not personally tried it, but I expect that it would work. Every POD I've worked with sends Program Change messages when you change presets.

To be certain, you might want to ask Line 6 if Program Change messages are sent when using the short board to control the HD Pro.
 
The shortboard is connected via a cat 5 cable to the pod hd pro. The shortboard is just the controller for the pod.
 
Right, but the POD should send MIDI program changes from its MIDI output port when you use the shortboard to select a preset. (Again, check with Line 6 on this to be sure!)
