Mini EG and Voodoo Labs Commander

The Mini EG is the obvious answer for switching on a pedal board but as space is always a premium the real estate taken up by controllers becomes prohibitive once you start adding the actual pedals. As the size/weight of the board and case soon becomes logistically difficult (it amazes me how many drummers complain about the space the guitarists gear takes up in the transport... just saying...) I have been pondering a solution.

With this in mind would the Voodoo Labs Commander work with the RJM Mini EG? It sends program change messages but I am unsure about the way the unit is phantom powered (5 pin MIDI).

Are there any other options for space limited boards?
 
The Commander will work fine. You can store the state of the 5 loops for each preset. If you want to phantom power it, you'll need a 5-to-7 MIDI cable. It's pretty easy to make, or we can make you one.
