Mixing stereo and mono pbc10

I want to incorporate my mono tape delay after my stereo modulation pedals.

If I use the proper ring disconnect on the send and the stereo to mono converter on the return, in theory will it make a dual mono of my delay to then feed Into a stereo reverb?

Ex.
Loop 8 fractal vp4 using stereo y cables on send and return
Loop 9 send ring disconnect
Loop 9 return mono to stereo converter
Loop 10 mercury x using stereo y cables on send and return

It makes sense that the loop 8 would send a stereo signal. Loop 9 detects it and splits it where loop 10 picks both sides back up but with an identical tape delay on the left and right side (from the disconnect and converter cables)

Is this correct?

Yes, that's correct. The only issue that you'll run into is that you'll only get the left side of the VP4's output when loops 8 and 9 are activated. But, that signal will then appear identically on both the left and right sides.

Thanks for the reply. So the only way to combat getting the left Side of the VP4 in this instance is to run the Loop 9 in parallel? Am I understanding this correctly?

Yes, running loop 9 in parallel will allow the stereo signal from the VP4 to reach the output, even when the mono delay is on.

Perfect. Thank you for the information.

Last question. If I have mono pedals before the vp4 in loop 7 do I still need to use a ring disconnect and stereo converter cable? Or can I use the standard 1/4 TS cable in loop 7 before all the fun begins?

Thanks

You still need those cables. If loop 7 is the only loop on, you need a mono - stereo converter cable to convert loop's 7 output to stereo. All the other mono-stereo cables are bypassed in that scenario. Also, the signal coming in to loop 7 is stereo. The signal from loops 1-6 is split and sent to both the tip and ring of send 7. If the ring is grounded, as it is in a mono cable, that'll cause problems.
