I got an EHX 8-Step Program Analog sequencer to use as an expression input into the MMGT to send sequencers to my whammy and mobius. In order to make the 8-Step work the TRS cable connecting it to the MMGT has to be modified as shown here.
Cut the TRS cable. Strip the ends to expose the red, white, and bare shield wires. Connect the two red wires back together. Connect the white wire on one side to the shield of the other and vice versa as shown in the diagram.
Set the depth on the 8-Step to 5. It must be 5 otherwise you won't be able to properly calibrate the input to the MMGT.
The control action will be reversed so set your min CC value to 127 and your max CC value to 0.
Send CC sequences to any MIDI gear in your setup.
