Just curious as to how much the midi clock fluctuates between presets. I notice that when I send a midi clock signal on a preset to my DD-200 and the tap division is 1/16, it tends to fluctuate a little, thus effecting the delay timing. I'm talking in the realms of <100ms.
Pretty much. Let's say I have it set for around 100 BPM, the 1/16 division makes my DD200 down to ~30ms if using eighth note tap division. But it fluctuates 1-2ms and it sounds very weird
Running it that fast is definitely pushing the capabilities of the system. MIDI clock isn't really designed to handle such short times. It has a limited resolution, and MIDI itself is fairly slow. If I'm doing my math right, 30ms eighth notes is 1000BPM. It would be better to program the delay times on the pedal if possible.
