PBC 6x & Synesthesia

Hello everyone!

I’m having a real hard time getting my Synesthesia and PBC 6x to communicate via midi. It’s currently first in a midi chain and all subsequent midi pedals work just fine (POG2, CB Gen Loss, Meris LVX, Big Sky) so the signal is getting through. When I got the board back from the builder, the Synesthesia was working fine so I know it’s something I did but I can’t figure out what it is and it’s really frustrating.

- I updated all the latest firmware/software for both units,
- ran a systems report to check for conflicting instructions,
- made sure both units are using the same midi channel

Its probably something simple but after a week of trying, i’m out of ideas. Any help from experienced users would be greatly appreciated.

Attached is the RJM file.

Thanks!!

I'm not seeing anything wrong with your settings. Do you have a PC with a MIDI interface? You could use that to make sure that the Synesthesia is responding like it's supposed to. The PBC's output must be ok if it can still control other pedals.

I connected the Synesthesia to the Big Sky Midi cable and I was able to get it to scroll through the presets on two different channels. So, the Synesthesia is working properly and so is the PBC. I don’t think its a bad cable as it was working when I got it from the builder 6 months ago and it hasn’t left my home.

Talked to the builder and we got it working. Turns out the Synesthesia is last in the midi path and the Big Sky wasn’t set to “Thru”. Super noob mistake but finally working. Thank you for reviewing my file and closing that path as the issue.
