PBC/6X Wet Dry Wet Configuration

I have a PBC/6X and have the following questions:
1. Is there a recommended configuration on PBC/6X for wet dry wet? I want to run my Timeline and BigSky in parallel and be able to mix the stereo outs to a Pinstripe DISO+ and the dry signal to a Pinstripe MISO.
2. Can I use SND without a return as an Output or a RTN without a SND as an Input?

The typical way you'd do it is like this:

- Set up the loop order like this: 1 2 3 4 + 5 6
- Insert Send can go to your dry amp
- Loops 5 and 6 sends go to the Timeline and BigSky inputs
- Timeline and Bigsky outputs go to a line mixer
- Line mixer outputs to the wet amp

To answer your other question: yes, you can use send as an output and return as an input, there's no difference at all. Just keep the loop on at all times. FYI, if you don't plug anything into the loop return, the signal coming in to the loop will always continue on to the next loop, regardless of whether the loop is on or off.

Thanks, this is exactly what I was hoping for. Any ideas on a stereo line mixer? Most of the ones I have searched on are out of production.

Total opinion piece here (because I just can't keep myself from sticking my nose in a problem-solving discussion haha!)...

The criteria of running effects in parallel with a line mixer make your board a perfect candidate for the PBC/10... Why not just use that? Even if you don't need that many loops, the PBC/6x + a line mixer are going to be comparable to the PBC/10 in terms of size and cost. The main trade off is you lose loop re-ordering, but in practice how much do you need that? And being able to manage all of it within a single unit and program it in the Mastermind editor is a huge plus.

One other thing to consider is Goodwood Audio - they have a W/D/W junction box that might check off all the boxes of the DISO and MISO in a single unit - https://goodwoodaudio.com/products/custom-wet-dry-wet-junction.

Just a couple ideas to help simplify... Nothing wrong with going a different route of course.

Thanks Josh

Good points, but I already own the PBC/6X and the Pinstripe boxes so I really only need to solve the stereo line mixer issue. I will check out the Goodwood piece.

Hi, Peter... Check out the GigRig 'Wetter Box.' If you only need to mix 2 stereo pedals, it might work for you. Plus, it's reasonably small and can be bypassed by a latching switch (I think), so controllable with PBC/6 X. Here's a link: https://www.thegigrig.com/wetterbox

There's also the MusicomLab 'Parallelizer' (http://www.musicomlab.com/parallelizer.htm). But that unit is larger, and does more than you need. Plus, I'm not sure if they still make that thing. Good luck!
