Program Change Numbers

Program Change numbers in the amp Gizmo run from 1 through to 128, it can depending upon settings respond to bank select messages of 0 and 1 which gives a total of 256 patches.
But it will not as far as I know rcgognize PC number of zero

As I understand it, program change number 0 corresponds to program 1, as PC numbers can only range from 0-127. So a PC of 0 gives you program 1, 1 gives you 2, 5 gives you 6, and all the way to 127 gives you 128. Different devices will either call them 0-127 or 1-128, but they're the same things.

The start at 0 / start at 1 thing is a mess. It doesn't help that the MIDI standards say that channel numbers should always be displayed to the user as 1 through 16, but the actual number transmitted over the wire are 0 through 15. Program numbers are always transmitted over the wire as 0 through 127, but MIDI does not say whether they should be displayed starting at 0 or at 1.

That said, we recognize the full range of program changes: 0 through 127. What your MIDI controller calls them is another story. :)
