Is it possible to press an IA button once to turn it on and then again to activate another loop? I've got a couple presets tat I'd like to have the ability to press them again and activate a boost loop from the MEGX

Have you tried using the Hold function? You can stipulate what loop you wish to load on both the normal press and the Hold on a single switch. Hopefully I'm understanding your question correctly.
