setting up MAG to control CAE3+SE in MMGT editor

Now it is official I am a complete idiot when it comes to understanding midi. I have a MMGT16 to control everything, an effect gizmo to control my pedals and effect rack stuff and an MAG to switch channels on my CAE3+SE. Because I have a total lack of understanding midi I can`t bring my head around to understand how I should program the MAG (in the MMGT editor) to change channels. The CAE 3+ starts up in channel 1 when I start up. When I want to change to channel 2 or 3, there is no problem. But when I want to change back to channel 1 again I have to turn of channel 2 or 3. How do I do that?

If you have channel 1, channel 2, channel 3 buttons defined on the GT, set the Group parameter on all three buttons to the same number. Only one button is allowed to be on in a group. Once the group numbers are set, pressing channel 2 will automatically turn off channel 1. Pressing channel 3 will turn off channel 2, etc. This will allow one button access to each channel.
