I finally had a chance to try out an off-the-shelf case for the GT. This is a waterproof case filled with perforated foam sheets. You tear out pieces to make the cutout size(s) you need:

Seems like a very good case and should be great protection for the GT. For a GT/22, I tore out everything but 3 squares on each side. For a GT/16, you just leave 9 squares on the bottom. I only needed to remove them from the top layer (there are 3 layers). In the second layer, I opened up a couple areas for a AC adapter and its cable.
We won't be selling these because we're not able to buy them wholesale, but any SKB dealer should have them or be able to get them.
