Sometimes buttons have to be double pressed

Hi, I am using a GT16 with a Kemper. All of my buttons are Instant Access. On each page In one group I switch between the 5 Kemper slots as well engaging a Source Audio C4 preset at the same time for some of those buttons. Groups work very well, however when I switch from one KPA preset slot to another numerically adjacent slot, I have to double press the button as one press doesn't successfully engage the slot. I am using a short, high quality 7 pin MIDI cable.

Would macros help? The Source Audio C4 pedal requires a toggle setting, so any global momentary setting on the button doesn't work.

Any solutions would be appreciated!

Make sure that the buttons in your group have CC Toggle actions with "off:None" specified, so that the button turning off doesn't interfere with the button turning on.

Thank you very much. It was just a matter of working out what action (Mom or Toggle) in combination with your excellent advice that did the trick.
