Hey,

Apparently Marshall Amps has pulled a fast one on me... I have two #2466 Vintage Modern heads and one JCM #2555 head. The Amp Gizmo switches the JCM perfectly! Hit the button and the channel switches, hit the button again, channel switches back. The same cannot be said for the #2466 VMs. Push the button, channels changes, push the button again, channels doesn't change, push the button again, channel changes. so you see the problem I have, if I program a MIDI preset to switch the channels the two amps will be out of sync on the next preset. It appears that one setup is momentary and one is latching...what do I do here???

The footswitch for the VM's simply toggles the channels back and forth. It would seem that I have a mixed bag of schemes (thanks Marshall).

Any suggestions?

Yes, it definitely sounds like the VM is expecting momentary switching. You definitely need to run it on a separate Amp Gizmo switch. I'll try to think of a solution for you...
 
Thanks Site Admin but you don't have to think of a solution...you already have one!!!

What I didn't understand is that I can program individual switches to either be momentary or latching and that saves the day! I actually have the Amp Gizmo switching all three of my heads correctly, not in the eventual fashion I want them (see my other post) but it works perfectly. I was thinking that the whole unit was either in momentary of latching mode so that would have been a problem.
