split mono mode

hello guys,
having trouble connecting #2 pedals to operate in split mono . I have loops #1 and #2 on the MEGX configured to split mono, creating loops #7 and #8.
I have checked the loops on the default settings page, and have assigned my morningstar midi controller to trigger the loop, CC #86 and 87. but I am not getting any sound results. i have included a drawing diagram to show how I have configured one of the loops.

If this is the same unit you reported today that doesn't have loops 7 and 8 in the loop order, then the above is a symptom I would expect. Please send me your settings file, and also let me know what version of the editor you're running.
