I Figured it out....bad cable.

I hate to ask such a basic question, but I have read the manual and can't seem to get my Strymon El Capistan to switch to favorite.
First,
I ran a 1/4" TS cable from the PBC FUNC 1/2 to the Strymon Riverside Boost Jack and the Boost turns on/off with Funct 1. PERFECT!
I then ran a 1/4" TS cable from Funct 3/4 to the El Capistan. I changed the El Capistan to Favorite mode and press and hold the Bypass button untill it blinks to save the favorite. I then press the Funct 3/4 switch and nothing happens.
Are there settings that need to be changed on the PBC Switch Page to work with the El Capistan?
