Unable to update the firmware

I just received my GT22.
And the first disappointment :-(
I'm unable to update the firmware.
Bootloader is 1.2
Firmware is still on 3.2.2

IMHO, this is not quality service when ordering a €2200 unit and its still on old firmware
 
Where did you buy it from?

Are you using the drive that came with it? I still haven't been able to account for all of the variance in flash drives, but the ones we ship with the unit are the ones that have had the most compatibility testing.

Make sure to start up the unit with the drive not inserted, then insert after the bootloader screen appears.

I just helped someone else out that had a similar problem and it suddenly starting working after he wrote settings from his GT to the flash drive, then rebooting into the bootloader. I don't know if that was a coincidence or not, but it's worth a try.
 
I got it from Loopers Paradise.
I used the stick supplied with the GT22.
I did everything as described in the manual.
Even tried reformating the stick.
Tried other sticks.
Nothing.

You would expect at least the stick supplied with the GT22 to work.
 
After trying everything from trying other sticks and reformatting with various filesystems and block sizes I gave up.
So today I tried a couple of old ones and it finally worked.
Happy as a pig in shit :)

Sorry about the trouble, but I'm happy to hear it worked out in the end! We have a good track record with the drives we've been buying, but it looks like you get a dud.
