Update and Send On Preset Change not behaving as expected

Perhaps I don't fully understand the concept, but after watching the "Mastering the Mastermind" YouTube series, I thought I had a handle. Here are some screenshots of my setup:



As you can see, I have a preset created with the "Metro" button set to ON, and the "Update on Preset Change" and "Send on Preset Change" enabled. The CC is a toggle, message #19, 0 for "Off" and 127 for "On". What I expected was that when I switched between presets it would remember the "On" setting and send a 127 value for message #19 on channel 9. However, as you can see from my MIDI monitor, it is sending a 0 value for message #19 on Channel 9. It's the opposite of what I expected. Any ideas?

Does the button actually turn on (on the GT) when you select that preset?

Do you have any other buttons, that also send CC#19?

No other buttons; I’m starting from a clean slate. The button is in fact “on” when I load the preset.

Ok I'm a dummy. That IA button right next to it was in fact a copy of the button that was also programmed to send #19. I deleted it, and it seemed to clear the conflict. Now it is sending a 127 value when I load the preset. Whew!
