Sorry to resurrect this thread, but just want to confirm there's no other option/approach I could take.
I have a PBC6x, a lehle mono volume S and a dunlop volume X mini. I want to have a volume pedal and an expression pedal on my board.
1) First question that serves as the foundation for the rest. Am I correct in understanding that if I put a volume pedal into a loop in the PBC6x (let's say loop 4 for example, i.e. after my 3 duzz/drives), it will function as a volume pedal would normally in the chain when the loop 4 is engaged, and the volume pedal would cease function/use when loop 4 is turned off/removed from the chain?
2) To save space, is there anyway to set it up so I could have one volume pedal function as EITHER a volume pedal or a expression pedal depending on the preset? If so, how would I wire/accomplish that?
This is how I think it would work, please let me know if my thinking is correct: I could wire the pedal for volume and place it in a loop, and disengage that loop whenever I don't want it to be functioning as a volume pedal, and then I'd separately separately have a (a TRS out from Aux send on the Dunlop Volume X Mini) OR the USB-C to USB-B of the PBC6x [or does it have to go to the expression in via a USB-C to TRS cable?]) the same pedal be used for expression over midi to my various pedals (strymons, etc.) on presets when desired.
Will this work?
And is there way I can do it without 'sacrificing' the insert loop to the volume pedal only? I'm not seeing a way.
I saw these as a way to add more loops if I need, not sure if they'll do the job:

Alternatively I could add the RJM Mini Effects Gizmo, though that seems a bit overkill for me in terms of number of loops.

3) (reasking the question buried above). Will the USB-C out on the Lehle Volume S send midi expression to the PBC-6x if I connect it to the PBC's USB In via a USB-C to USB-B cable? Or will a USB-C to TRS cord work if I plug it into the PBC's expression in?
Thanks as always. I'm continually amazed how responsive RJM is to questions like this.
