Weird Delay in switching - Triple Crown

so, I was pretty delighted to take delivery of a Mesa Boogie Triple Crown head just today, and it's simply a lovely amp. I set up my LT to switch patches on it quite easily. However, I get the weirdest sort of glitchy delay when it switches the patch on the amp. I have a couple other midi devices (H9s) which have some switching going so I thought well maybe something is happening there. If I turn off switching the patches (within the software) on the H9s, the problem goes away. It must be something simple I am missing :)

(everything is on separate midi channels... and switching properly, just with the weird stutter when I change patches)
