This is possibly a huge undertaking, but I would like to see the Rack Gizmo or Effect Gizmo with the following features:
* Switchable via MIDI (yes, this is obvious)
* Programmable (via USB?) Serial or Parallel for each Input/Output
* Serial in any order
I could only find 2 routers capable of doing this for 8+ devices:
* Sound Sculpture Switchblade (GL=16, 8B=8 w/buffer, 8=8 w/o buffer, 8F=8 w/o buffer & mounts to pedalboard)
* FAMC Liquid Router A16 (16 I/O's)
Of these 2 existing products, the Switchblade software is archaic but easy to use.
The A16 has nice looking software and a great, easy to use, front panel.
Now if RJM makes one, I know it will be superior to both of these (hint, hint).
BTW, I own a Swithblade GL and I have ordered the A16. I will try all the challengers and use/support only the best (for me).
And I have on order a Mastermind GT/16. Can't wait for it to arrive!
