Firmware version 5.2.1 & editor version 5.2.0 are now available!

FEATURES:
  • New device support:
    • Chase Bliss Bliss Factory and Reverse Mode C
    • Electro-Harmonix 8 Step
    • Hologram Microcosm
    • Kemper Profiler update: add looper controls
    • Line 6 HX One
    • Meris Mercury X
    • RJM Music Full English
  • Added "Use Song Index" MIDI setting, which controls whether an incoming MIDI bank number selects a song by its number, or whether it selects by index (1st song in the setlist, 2nd song in the setlist, etc.)
  • Added "Clock Pulse Limit" MIDI setting, which causes the Mastermind to send only a specific number of MIDI clock pulses each time the tempo changes. This makes it work effectively like tap tempo, just much faster. Setting this to 0 keeps the default behavior (continuously send clock pulses).
  • Added special value "Preset" to the System / Page action. This shows the button page indicated by the currently loaded preset.
  • Added special value "Preset" to the PC action. This sends the PC stored in the current preset for the selected device.
BUG FIXES:
  • Fixed a bug that kept Fuzz Mode from working correctly on the PBC/10
  • Fixed a bug that caused external switches on pages 2 and higher from properly switching audio features
  • Fixed a bug that caused the LEDs not to update when dismissing the tuner screen
  • Fixed issues in the setup menus relating to the "clear" button
  • Fixed a bug in the PC Edit menu that caused it to not calculate presets and banks correctly
UPDATE 4/9/2024:
Version 5.2.1 includes the following fix:
  • Fixed a bug in the System / Page "preset" special value

TO UPDATE FIRMWARE:

PLEASE DON'T DO A MAJOR FIRMWARE UPDATE RIGHT BEFORE YOUR BIG GIG!

- First, back up your settings to a flash drive or computer! If you go back to 4.7 or earlier, your Mastermind will factory reset.
- Download and unzip the firmware file.
- Copy the file to a USB flash drive, and remove any other .rjf files from the flash drive.
- Eject the drive from your computer.
- Power on the Mastermind while holding the 1 and 3 buttons.
- Keep holding until you see "Mastermind Bootloader" appear on the screen.
- Now plug the flash drive into your Mastermind. The update should begin and will take a few minutes to complete.

- First, back up your settings to a flash drive or computer! If you go back to 4.7 or earlier, your Mastermind will factory reset.
- Download and unzip the firmware file.
- Use the editor's Transfer / Update Firmware menu option to update the Mastermind. This works with the PBC/6X and PBC/10s made after March 2019.

Thanks for this , hopefully next update will have Kemper Player as a device as they just a new firmware that seemed to get the player more midi friendly !!
 
Man, this is a huge update! Happy to see a feature I requested ("Preset" PC Action) and a bug I reported (external footswitches above Page 2 not controlling loop bypass) on the list of improvements.

Thanks so much for your continued work! The changes you're making will enable guitarists like me to continue to write and perform increasingly interesting music with increasingly complex tones.
 
@rjmmusic Just an FYI but on Mac, the new Editor wouldn't open initially: "cannot open because Apple cannot check for malicious software." Had to add it to the security exceptions by opening it from the Applications folder.

awesome update , but hx one still a problem ! I tried to exact thing I'm doing with my h9 and hx one would not comply

... then the bug is with the HX One, not with the Mastermind. I have an open ticket with Line6 for the exact problem you described (not being able to control the HX One bypass state with a CC message when sending a simultaneous PC).

Yeah It is that the same issue but I'm good with h9 for now most of the effects I prefer from h9 anyways . it just that one effects called retro real from line 6 I cannot replicate in the h9 nor the kemper .

Yeah the Retro Reel is pretty amazing. Just wanted to clarify your question since it seemed to imply that the problem was with the RJM and not with the HX One, which is incorrect and may be misleading to other users who are having the same issue we are.

oh I never meant the issue was on the rjm side as I even mentioned how the eventide h9 works perfectly for what I am trying to do .
