I would be interested in a floor based RG-16 unit. It would be great to have more available loops; in the form of 8, 10, 12, 16. I’m sure the cost to manufacture this would be considerable however. But it would defiantly be able to compete with and beat units like the Rocktron floor based PatchMate Loop 8. All the great features of the Amp Gizmo and the Effects Gizmo in one pedal board friendly unit would truly be the One Controller to Rule Them All.

Mixer built into the effects gismo.
I recon a mixer say 3-4 channel that would enable the mixing of a dry split and the effects would be a cool feature.

Come on Ron do some more magic ;)

Yeah, it's only a design on paper right now. My goal is to have it out later this year. Wish me luck!

Is there still an effort underway to develop a floor based RG-16 unit or something similar? I was hoping it would have been announced during the 2010 summer NAMM show. Thanks.

Ron, when you do an update on the RG-16 i would love to see those things:

RG-16II:
1) stereo-loops on loop 5-8
2) isolated output on the tuner out - for doing a signal split for two amps without hum

and for your longtime RG-16 customer an upgrade chance on these adds - for a "nice price" offer. :)

thanks

I do belive I'm in the presence of knowledge! Is it possible to run two Marshall JCM 900's using only one Marshall footswitch(channel / Reverb) ?

I have the A/B/Y to the two heads' input jack. I just want to use one footswitch to control two footswitch jacks

The simplest way to do that is modify the footswitch so that it has 3PDT switches and an additional 1/4" jack to connect to the second amp. I've done that for someone and it works pretty well.

Fantastic! Could I request the cost in building this modified switch? And, the cost of possibly someone else building the switch for me?

Hi,

I've yet to buy an RJM product as I'm still trying to design what i actually need. I have an old Rockman Midi Octopus but I need some FX switching. From my online investigations I know what I want it's just getting the cash for an RG-16 and an effects gizmo with two Ground control pro's. so I can have the possibility of having IA for 20 effects and patches.

But since I have a Midi Octopus something like a 'Midi' Effects Gizmo in a half rack format with 8 loops so you could pair it with an Amp gizmo to effectively give you an RG16 would be pretty cool. Even a Mini effects gizmo with 4 loops that you could velcro to a rack tray or pedal board would be cool.

I also thing the head switcher with FX loop would be a great thing. For people gigging with a backup head to be able to just switch it and your FX loops at the press of one button would be awesome. And if it had the ability to switch up to 4 heads would be my idea of heaven. Just imagine you take the output of the RG-16 which feeds a head switcher that will switch stereo preamps, heads, Guitar inputs and fx loops.

Oh one last thing......Blue lights and / or a Knight Rider switch that lets the LED's strobe how cool would that be on your RG-16 and effects gizmo.

Fantastic products...keep it up.

An input selector unit as a standard product? Perhaps even an input selector and a line mixer in one 1/2 rack unit so you could mount that and an Amp Gizmo side by side on a rack shelf? OK so we're possibly getting a bit specialised now!

Not specialised at all! I want this too :)

New here, and thought that id post a nsmall suggestion or two;

Mastermind: Upgrade the screen from the current one to a screen that you can put an attached name to it, say for a specific song.

RG-16: Make a RG-16 in a lite format, same housing, but only controls 5 or 6 loops and a single amp, Think Mini Effects Gizmo and Mini Amp Gizmo in one convineient unit.

Could theese products be a decent request???

A very cool thing that I very like to have, it's a ''rig computer''. I'm explain: it would be a couple of controller(amp, effect...) who work together with a computer. It would be like an RG 16 but more computerized and more ''simple''. It would come with a touchsceen(or usb for set up your preset with a PC)and a really nice interface. In the interface you can custom 100% of your midi pedalboard, create the preset that you want (amp chanel, FX ...) or anything, very simple !!! You just need that and the pedalboard, and your guitar, amp FX as well. For an example, I have two amp with an Axe-fx and I want to create a new preset. I open the interface, I go on ''amp'' I choose amp 1 (amp 1 ou my 2, the amp is associate to the out put or anything like that)with chanel 3 and the boost. After I go on ''Effect'' I have only one it's my axe FX, I choose dalay (or if you have an effect pedal you can choose it) and and save this preset. For all work perfectly together and you can see ''chanel 1'' instead of button ''1'' (or an other like on a RG 16), a lot of patch for specific amp and effect processor would be avalible to download and install in the ''rig computer'' by usb. All the connection is the same like the RG 16. But the new it's all is computarized and more simple. I don't know if you understand me. I don't have a good english enough for explain a big idea like that, it very difficult to me to explain all what I think, all the idea and the plan I made, but I did my best. What do you think about this idea ???

I think there is a big need for a Head Switcher. Especially one that can handle at least 3 heads plus a direct out. Here is what I would like (if it's possible) -

Head switcher to a single speaker out.
W/ separate direct out (same signal only line level) to run to a rack stereo power amp.
Basically the wet dry wet scenario with three heads being switched simultaneously through system.

Can this be done? Even if it doesn't go into production I would like to talk to you about a one off custom.

Thanks,

I'm with this as well. For me, a 2 head switcher with line out would be enough. It'd be even better as a half rack unit...

I'm a bit disappointed at the price of the RJ-16. I would like to see it become a bit more reasonable so that it could be attainable for the masses. $649.00 is a bit steep IMO and lowering it to say $300.00 or $350.00 would be more reasonable.

Just a suggestion.

Jimmy ;)
